Superman was created in 1938, becoming one of the most iconic superheroes at the time.
He first appeared in Action Comics #1. Born on the planet Krypton as Kal-El, he was sent to Earth by his parents before the planet exploded.
He was raised by farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent and grew up to become Superman.
